Hand-held Reader

Electronic hand-held Reader (HDX and FDX-B).  Memory 3,500 tags (Depending on software features installed).  Automatic HDX/FDX-B detection.  Manual Tag Number button (if the animal is already tagged with a non-electronic tag).

 

Read Range - JRC testing laboratories use a 25mm tag for HDX and a 20mm tag for FDX.  Typical read ranges are greater than 13cm FDX, and greater than 18cm HDX.   Please note read range is significantly reduced using smaller tags, and will also vary according to the tag manufacturer, hence these figures are only guidelines.

 

In-built battery charger.  Battery is a Rechargeable 2.2 Ah Lithium Ion giving 8-12 hours use, with 2.5 hour full battery recharge time .

 

Either USB or Bluetooth 2.1 and USB Enabled (RS232 or WiFi 802.11 b/g also available as an option).

 

Drop resistant to 1m, and water resistant.  Conforms to  ISO11784/5,  ISO24631-6 (draft), CE Meets EN50082-1 and EN50022, and EC 21/2004 as appropriate.  Note, rubber boot must be fitted for drop test.

 

PC  requirements - Minimum of 200 MB of free hard disk space and 64 MB of free RAM.  For Bluetooth to work, you really need Windows 7, XP or Vista, although it may be made to work on Windows 2000 and Windows 98 with suitable drivers.  Minimum recommended screen resolution 1024 x 768.  USB lead supplied as standard.

A, B & C Programmable Management Task Buttons

 

Your personal options can be added to these buttons by uploading them to the unit from your PC using either Bluetooth or the RS232 or USB leads provided .  Standard farm set options are:-
