What is Tag-ie Sheep?
Tag-ie Sheep is a robust hand-held electronic animal ear tag reader, which can record up to 3,500 ear tags and numerous management tasks (e.g. weight, scan results, lambing, medication given). Then using the Tag-ie Sheep flock management software included you can upload the information onto your PC via Bluetooth (Tag-ie/Tag-ie Trade) or USB/RS232 (Tag-ie2) connection, where you can save and sort it to create the flock records you need.
Any type of ISO 11785 electronic ear tags (FDX/HDX) can be read using the Tag-ie Reader, which include those manufactured by large suppliers such as Dalton and Shearwell.
The weather resistant Tag-ie Reader has up to 8 hours of continuous use battery time, and a quick charge facility which enables the battery to be recharged fully within 2 hours.
The package includes a Tag-ie Bluetooth enabled Reader (Tag-ie), Software Package, charger, USB/232 cable (Tag-ie2), instruction manuals and carrying bag, on screen help files, a 24/7 telephone helpline run by farmers who actually use the product, e-mail help, and a 2 year warranty (excluding accident damage). On farm training can be provided at an additional cost.
This product conforms to ISO11784/5, and is water and drop resistant. All of our Tag-ie products are designed, manufactured and supported in the UK.
(Please note, although the unit can be used as stand-alone and animal records can be scrolled through, it is highly recommended that you use the PC software provided).
